multi-media performance

-A HUNGER ARTIST

A HUNGER ARTIST is a multimedia performance based on the short story by
Franz Kafka. It involves video projection, live music and live narration.
Black and white images are projected on a large screen (in the center of the
stage), combined with animation and video footage. The live music is
performed by a four piece ensemble saxophone & singing, accordion, drums,
bass - and an actor tells the story, connecting the visual and musical
elements into a coherent narration. The atmosphere of the piece is
reminiscent of the silent movies from the beginning of the last century. The
graphics, video and animation are created by Danijel Zezelj, and the music
and arrangements are by Jessica Lurie.
